Workday vacation time off balances for hourly (non-exempt) staff have been moved from Colleague effective 3/31 and are reflective of accrued time through 3/31/19 or 9/12ths of your annual entitlement plus any carryover from June 2018. Subsequent accruals will occur each pay period. Please contact the service desk with questions.

For example, let’s say you earn 20 days or 4 weeks of vacation annually. When logging into Workday on 3/31, you will see an accrued balance of 15 days or 3 weeks. Three weeks is correct since 9/12 of your vacation time will have been accrued by completing 9 months of the fiscal year. For each pay period between 4/1 and 6/30, your additional vacation time will accrue so that as of 6/30, 4 weeks of time will have been accrued.

Many times a change in marital status might also have implications to benefit coverage and legal name. As such, RISD had initially required proof of documentation. However, if you are not changing your benefits and/or your legal name and are only changing your marital status, RISD will allow that change without documentation.
